Dale Harrington (DJ Dale) is a fantastic DJ. We were planning our wedding at The Farmers Market in Ithaca, NY from Vancouver for a year. During that year, we corresponded with Dale entirely by email up until the day before our wedding. He was very professional and promptly responded to all of our emails. His contract for weddings also asked all the right questions, and highlighted major traditional wedding events so we didn’t have to plan a schedule entirely from scratch. Highlights of DJ Dale’s services: Equipment: Dale provided music for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception/party. He provided extra lighting, a sound system, and wireless microphones for the speeches.He also set up a standing speaker for our ceremony. Music (of course): Dale’s music selections were right on target. He followed our playlist, while also throwing in his own repertoire of wedding dance songs. There was a constant stream of people on the dance floor throughout the night thanks to DJ Dale’s music! Attentive: Dale checked in briefly during dinner to check that the music volume was okay, and to give those making speeches a run-down on how to use the microphones. Flexibility: Dale followed the general schedule I had included for him in the contract. However, he adapted well when my sister sent him an alternative schedule to include a surprise for me and my husband. We are so happy we chose Dale as our wedding DJ, and would 100% recommend him, especially if you are hiring external vendors for a unique venue like The Ithaca Farmers Market!

If you are looking for a DJ for any event, you should choose DJ Dale. He was extremely accommodating and professional from start to finish while planning our wedding. He was always available to talk over details via email and phone, and he gave me the upmost confidence leading up to the day that the music for our event would be very well taken care of. Dale was in charge of music for both our ceremony and reception, and he went above and beyond to make sure that both were perfect. I didn’t have to think about music or MC details even once during the day because I knew that DJ Dale was prepared and in control. Most importantly, my husband and I and all of our guests had a blast. The dance portion of the night lasted longer than we had expected because DJ Dale knew exactly what to play to keep everyone on their feet. We are so grateful to Dale for making our wedding day even better than we imagined!

Working with DJ Dale was an OUTSTANDING experience. He was extremely kind, flexible and responsive throughout the wedding planning process. We also did have quite a few unique song requests, as well as specific cuts and fades, and he made it all happen flawlessly. We have received countless compliments on Dale’s services, and every time I think back to the music at our wedding I just can’t help but smile. I really didn’t realize how amazing a DJ could be until our wedding – his announcing was spot-on and I really couldn’t have imagined a better DJ. DJ Dale paved the way for a joyous and smooth reception. My wife and I did the majority of our wedding planning and many of the fine details of the reception we not worked out. Dale helped work with our site coordinator to iron out everything that was missing. This was extremely helpful in keeping things moving. Dale also checked in with both my wife and me several times during the reception to make sure that the music was the right volume, the music choices were the right ones, and the flow of the ceremony continued the way we wanted it. In the week leading up to the wedding, both my wife and I rapidly sent music suggestions via email–many changes and additions–to and Dale was able to take our combined thoughts and blend them together. We had a lot of nice compliments about the music. It was both a great time and great relief to have Dale in our corner. I’d recommend his DJ services highly to anyone. I credit Dale as a big part of what kept our reception stress-free.

DJ Dale ran the lights, sound, and music for our ceremony and reception, and he was so great!! He let my husband customize the reception playlist mostly, including some obscure and unusual tracks, but also had a great base plan for the day in case we needed him to provide any music or ambiance at any point. He brought all the equipment that he needed, and ran sound for the ceremony too, which included our officiant having a mic, and live performers singing and playing guitar. His presence was professional and just the right amount of DJ, balanced with a friendly face. He is VERY organized, will remind you and your guests of anything you want him to, and will be as much in the foreground or background as you want. He never sends other people to DJ for him – it’s always the real Dale. His lighting for the reception was really cool too, and since we hadn’t thought much of ahead of time, we were so thankful that he took care of that. He runs karaoke at Lot 10 on Thurs and at the Haunt on Mon, if you want to meet him and see him in action.

DJ Dale did such a great job for our wedding! He worked with us to transition from an outside ceremony to an inside dance floor and provided excellent services. He was professional and great to work with. I’d recommend him for sure!

Dale was great during the planning process (we were planning our wedding remotely) offering suggested timing, songs, etc. On the actual day of our wedding a freak rainstorm showed up minutes before our scheduled outdoor reception, he was wonderful relocating his equipment and also directing guests, groomsmen, etc. working seamlessly with our wedding planner to save the day! We first saw Dale at a friends wedding 2 years prior to our special day-we had so much fun at their reception we immediately knew who we would be contacting for our own!

Dj Dale was AMAZING! While I did not use him for a wedding, I used him for a very high class gala for our non for profit private school. He was incredibly quick to respond to all of my needs, emails, and requests. He kept the entire event moving at a great pace, and was the life of the party. He added some lighting around the venue which was the perfect touch for our event. He has a great voice that grabs the attention of everyone!! I would recommend him over and over again!!!Read

Dale is AMAZING!! He traveled three hours to DJ my wedding all while giving me a very reasonable price! He was professional, friendly, and flexible. On the day of the wedding he played great music, and most importantly, he held everything together and never allowed the party to drag. Many of my family and friends still talk about Dale and how great he made my reception, and my wedding was 16 months ago! I couldn’t recommend Dale more!!

Dale was wonderful to work with! From the start, he was open to a ‘modified’ format (we wanted pretty limited ‘narration’ during our reception and chose to forgo many of the traditional parts of the post-ceremony party). He provided mics for our ceremony — something we almost certainly would’ve forgotten until the last minute otherwise — and shared gear with our guitarist so the whole sound system for our outdoor ceremony was streamlined. Apart from a pre-booking visit to our venue to discuss our needs, and coming to our rehearsal to make sure everything would jive the night prior to the wedding, Dale was also readily available via email. His info-request packet was very helpful in organizing our reception timeline, and he was totally agreeable when we provided tons of music requests and little adjustments. During the reception, he checked in with our coordinator frequently, and approached me to make sure everything was sounding OK when the dance floor seemed under-populated (guests were just enjoying the summer night outside 🙂 ). Overall, Dale was professional, efficient, and friendly! We so appreciated his expertise and would recommend him highly.

DJ Dale is wonderful. Our family have hired him quite a few times over the years for weddings and wouldn’t use anyone else. He is accommodating, trustworthy, kept in contact through out the planning stages and on the wedding day. He is friendly and outgoing, everyone has such a good time.He also keeps the day going on your schedule. As far as music and keeping on schedule for my wedding day and my daughters, we didn’t have to worry about a thing, which makes that soooo nice. We will use DJDale in the future and reccommend him highly!!

Dale did a fantastic job for us. He worked with our singer for a few days prior to our wedding upon her request for practice. He showed up on time, communicated with us regularly prior to the event to help plan for every part of the day. We had music before and after the ceremony, upon arrival to the reception, during the meal and all through the rest of the evening. The sound was perfect, I’ve been to many receptions where it was either too loud or it couldn’t be heard. We had a very diverse guest list and he ensured that there was something for everyone. I just cant say enough about how great the whole experience was. He is amazing
